About

Unleash your gifts and talents through therapy.
You are reaching out because you feel stuck or misguided, questioning when your life will finally start. Or you are reaching out as a parent with genuine concerns about your son’s current path. Often, young males and their parents find it difficult to accept help at this stage for various reasons.
Engaging in genuine self-reflection as a young male strengthens his foundation, promoting resolve, perseverance, and continued growth.
Wondering or worrying about the future does not aid a male’s outlook. Nor is hoping, “He’ll figure it out,” or claiming “It’s just his age” a healthy response. Both inactions are often a result of fear.
Recognizing and then accepting opportunities is the first positive feedback you will feel. You will continue to be captivated by the wonder of your own limits. No longer accepting a holding pattern of life, your daily commitment to Self helps refuel your constant progression.
Self-reflection fuels continued growth.
The feeling of emptiness is troublesome and, over time, often destructive. Emptiness results from a lack of direction and motivation.
Accepting your own challenge of self-reflection remains the force for which emptiness has no place.

Journeying to discovery need not be done solo.
My first meeting with someone working with me often involves acknowledging my unconditional positive regard for them.
It’s this rapport that is first established, that they are truly about their own pursuits and talents. Feeling open to discussing fear and apprehensions becomes an invaluable opportunity to help guide counsel and direction.
You will quickly discover that we are working together not so we can “fix” you, but so that we can use the many resources around you to reach true potential.
My commitment reveals a true partnership.
Our time together will be uncompromised by anything less than a focused approach to a search for self.
You will find comfort in the fact that I do not try to direct or forecast what I want for you. It is an unyielding approach I take: your talents and traits are not mine to develop, but instead I am to aid in your self-discovery.
Your eagerness to share accomplishments with me and others will only be surpassed by your excitement to ask “what’s next” of yourself.

The investment is worth it.
Assessing the value of investment in personal development can be difficult for people, especially parents.
This decision is not based solely on more smiles and less pain. It is based on the acknowledgement of the realities of physical and mental health, and the associated risks of arrested development and delayed maturation.
The benefits of the program reach far beyond the initial investment of time and money.
Educational opportunities, career exploration and advancement, strong interpersonal relationships, and overall wellness are among the priceless returns that a young man will experience well into adulthood and beyond.
Embrace the challenges to ignite the desired outcome.
Getting started may feel overwhelming or even intimidating. Actually opening up our own “ribcage” can be a scary proposition if we’re not sure what we would unveil.
A more troubling thought would be, “What happens if I just don’t do anything?” That thought is worrisome because it guarantees “less than.”
Raising the expectation of Self results in greater confidence in the individual from the start. Embracing this reality allows the individual to set goals beyond what was once unimaginable.
Being unaware of your tools makes building difficult.
We will lay a foundation, then use your tools to improve physical and mental health, interpersonal skills, and talent and career exploration.
Your self-discovery will allow you to overcome obstacles and welcome new challenges well into adulthood.
About Brandon M. Crotty, LMHC, CAP, P.A.

My passion has continued because of a calling.
Working with teens and young men in all aspects of their lives has remained a gift that I welcome each time the opportunity presents itself. It also comes with a great responsibility that I cherish.
For nearly three decades, the privilege of working with this population of clients and their families has brought me to rural areas and inner cities, as well as to clinical and educational settings. I am very appreciative of the accountability and trust clients and their families have come to expect from me.
I do not seek or try to redefine the role of a male model from the parent or any individual in a young man’s life. I see myself as part of a young man’s journey, which I have been asked to aid.
I’m very grateful to the clients and families who continue to reach out to give me updates or to say thank you as they pass by my office.
Here’s a little about my professional background.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida (MH7161) and Certified Addictions Professional (CAP2588).
I have a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, both from Canisius University.
Outside of my practice…
I spend time with my wife and our four children, which definitely keeps me laughing and enjoying life.
Continued involvement in various youth sports helps remind me that my glory days are well behind me.
